Further Details:

HALAR ECTFE is a melt processable fluropolymer from Solvay Solexis (Italy). It possesses a unique

HALAR fluropolymer has good electrical properties, broad use temperature from cryogenic to 160 deg C (310 F) and meets the requirements of the UL 94 V- 0 vertical flame test in thickness as low as 7 mils. It is a tough material with excellent impact strength over its broad use temperature range. HALAR ECTFE also maintains useful properties on exposure to cobalt 60 radiation at dosages of 200 megarads. It is one of the best fluropolymer for abrasion resistance.

Comprehensive Chemical Resistance

PTFE Butterfly Valve Coating is engineered to withstand aggressive chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and solvents. This robust resistance makes it the preferred choice for industries handling corrosive substances and requiring durable protection for critical valve components.

Advanced Application Flexibility

Our coating is available as a powder or sprayable form, allowing versatility in application. Whether using spray coating, electrostatic technology, or dipping methods, it ensures a consistent and even finish. This adaptability streamlines integration into your specific manufacturing or maintenance processes.

Exceptional Electrical and Thermal Performance

With its excellent dielectric properties and thermal stability up to 260C, PTFE Butterfly Valve Coating provides reliable insulation and protection in high-temperature applications. Its nearly zero water absorption ensures continuous performance even in humid or challenging environments.

FAQs of PTFE Butterfly Valve Coating:

Q: How is PTFE Butterfly Valve Coating applied to the valve surface?

A: PTFE Butterfly Valve Coating can be applied using spray coating, electrostatic, or dipping methods, depending on facility equipment and desired surface finish. This versatility ensures optimal adhesion and even coverage on a wide range of valve sizes.

Q: What benefits does this coating offer for butterfly valve protection?

A: The PTFE coating delivers exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, and solvents, outstanding dielectric insulation, and very low water absorption. These properties prolong valve life, reduce maintenance needs, and enhance operational safety in harsh industrial conditions.

Q: When should I consider using a PTFE coating on butterfly valves?

A: PTFE coating is recommended when valves operate in aggressive chemical environments, require electrical insulation, or need to withstand high temperaturesup to 260C. It is suitable for both new installations and refurbishing existing valves.

Q: Where can this coating be utilized?

A: It is ideal for industrial settings such as chemical processing plants, water treatment facilities, and environments with frequent exposure to corrosive agents. The coating can be customized to fit valves of various sizes as required.

Q: What is the process for achieving a smooth, glossy surface finish?

A: After preparing the metal substrate, the PTFE coating is evenly applied using one of the suitable techniques (spray, electrostatic, or dipping), followed by curing. This method produces the desired smooth, glossy, and even surface.

Q: How does the coating enhance the safety and reliability of butterfly valves?

A: The PTFE coating insulates electrically, prevents chemical corrosion, and resists moisture uptake. These combined features minimize equipment failures and lengthen service intervals, ensuring more reliable and safe valve performance.
