Xylan Coating
Polymech Engineering is known in the industry for providing best Xylan Coating to the products, we use advanced technology and follow latest industry standards to reach the expectations of our esteemed clients and serve them according to their needs at a very cost effective price. Xylan Coatings is a family of fluoropolymer coatings designed for use on various types of components and fasteners, including Xylan coated bolts to prevent corrosion and resistance to harsh chemicals. Most Xylan coatings contain PTFE or other types of lubricants that are applied in thin films. Xylan coating is a dry film lubricant.
Features
Low friction CoF as low as 0.02
Wear resistance even under extreme pressures
Corrosion and chemical resistance
Weather resistance against salt water, sunlight and road chemicals
Wide temperature operating range
Ambient to 750°F (400°C)
Wide color range
Many Xylan coatings bend freely and repeatedly without breaking
Machine ability apply multiple coats of Xylan coating and mill to specification
Excellent adhesion to most plastics, ceramics, metals, wood, even to itself
Xylan 1070
Xylan 1070 from Whitford is a PTFE coating, also called fluoropolymer coating, based on an organic solvent and was developed for coating fastening materials. The materials treated by us usually consist of 2 coatings. When used in combination with the right pre-treatment, for example Whitford Primer 4090, it provides excellent corrosion protection, neutral salt spray test up to 3000 hours. The friction coefficient is very low; lower than, for example electrolytic zinc plating. The layer thickness of this coating is usually approximately 25 mu and the processed materials can be used at temperatures from -195° C to +260° C.
Application
Used as a lubricant and wear resistant coating
As a seal
As a release or non stick coating
Use in materials handling
Under conditions of corrosion
Use for color coding or to provide functional surfaces
Coating thickness of 20 microns to 400 microns
Jobs completed by us: Threaded fasteners in the salty and polluted environment
